Mrs. Linda Cora Hagins Hammond, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. She was born September 9, 1945 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Joseph Jesse Hagins and Mrytle Marshall Hagins. Linda was a Sunday School teacher and member of Rich Hill Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, Nana, sister, aunt and friend. She loved Stitches of Love, crocheting, cooking, her fur babies, traveling and gathering with the Friday night crowd. Linda enjoyed spoiling her husband, children and grandchildren. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.A service celebrating Linda’s life will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 2 pm at Rich Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Rod Yow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.Mrs. Hammond is survived by her husband, Jerry Edward Hammond of Lancaster; three sons, Rodney Hammond of Spencer, NC, Roger Hammond (Teresa) of Heath Springs and Ronald Hammond (Susan) of Lancaster; a daughter, Angela Hammond Pate (fiancé, Terry West) of Kershaw; a brother, J. Lawrence Hagins of Lancaster; a sister, Joann Crenshaw of Camden; a sister-in-law, Jane Hammond of Stauton, VA; nine grandchildren, Jessica Wallace (Mitchell), Heather Hammond (fiancé, Mitchell Small), Casey Stout (Matthew), Trevor Hammond, Alex Blackmon, Tamara Pate, Levi Hammond, Vivian Hammond and Ava Hammond; and a great-granddaughter, Carter Grace Wallace.The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 2, 2016 following the service and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to Rich Hill Baptist Church, 1557 East Doc Garris Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family.Read Obituary
