Larry Lee Deerman

Mr. Larry Lee Deerman, 77, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at his home. He was born January 16, 1940 in Dutton, AL, a son of the late Woodrow Deerman and Louise Craig Deerman. Mr. Deerman enjoyed an interesting and productive life. He served our country in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam era. After his honorable discharge, he pursued his education and graduated from Auburn University. Mr. Deerman entered the world of textiles and worked for many years with Springs Industries and earned his MBA. He retired from Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor. Mr. Deerman loved sports and watching ball games on television. He was a huge Auburn Tigers fan in football and loved the Golden State Warriors in basketball. Mr. Deerman is survived by his wife, Marsha E. Deerman of Lancaster; a son, Michael Deerman of Lancaster; a daughter, Lindsey D. Tolbert and her husband Jason of Lancaster; a sister, Kathy Thompson and her husband Phillip of Woodville, AL; and a grandson, Cooper Lee Tolbert. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Wade Deerman.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
