Mrs. Kathy Darlene Helms Snipes, 60, of Lancaster, widow of Donald Keith Snipes, Sr., passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 12, 1955 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Joe Helms and Ollie Stevenson Helms.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Snipes will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 1 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. Wayne Snipes. officiating. Burial will be private.Mrs. Snipes is survived by a son, Donald Keith Snipes, Jr.; a daughter, Tonya Renee Snipes of Lancaster; a brother, Ray Helms and his wife Gail of Lancaster; a sister, Linda Woods and her husband Jr. of Lancaster; and a grandchild, Dalston Keith Snipes. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Helms and Eddie Helms; and a sister, Faye Stogner.The family will receive friends at the home of Donnie Snipes, Jr., 2111 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster, SC.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Snipes.
