John David "JD" Williams

Mr. John David “JD” Williams, 77, of Great Falls passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home. He was born in Lancaster, a son of the late Connie David Williams and Evelyn Johnson Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Mr. Williams loved fishing, racing, hunting and spending time with his family.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Williams will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 2 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Trent McLaughlin and Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Martha Ann Williams of Great Falls, a son David Brian Horne and his wife Jennie of Great Falls, six daughters, Sharon Arant and her husband John, and Thelma Welsh all of Lancaster, Cindy Estes of Fort Lawn, Tammy Kirkley and her husband Jeff of Florida, Angie Restivo and her husband John of Jefferson and Connie Williams of Lancaster; two brothers, Ronnie Williams and Larry D. Reece Williams and his wife Elizabeth all of Lancaster; a sister, Sara Good of Lancaster; 14 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Williams; and a sister, Betty Lou Sims.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Antioch Baptist Church.Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 3052 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Williams.Read Obituary
