John Thornwell Trull

Mr. John Thornwell Trull, 78, of Lancaster, widower of Catherine H. Trull, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014. He was born October 14, 1936 in Lancaster, a son of the late Curtis Lee Trull and Estes Faile Trull. Mr. Trull was a very talented and creative individual. He was involved in the sign business and came up with some very innovative techniques for producing signs prior to becoming an engineer with Springs Industries. In his later years, Mr. Trull had an interest in growing vegetables and he became a master gardner.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Trull will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home with the Mr. Cecil Ghent officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Trull is survived by a son, Jason Switzer and his wife Jan of Lancaster; a sister, Jean Edwards of Fort Lawn; three brothers, Charles Trull and his wife Reba of Little River, SC, Shannon Trull and his wife Wylene of Lancaster and James Trull and his wife Christine of Heath Springs; and three grandchildren, Cassidy J. Switzer, JoAnne M.
