Jesse Alexander Humphries

Mr. Jesse Alexander Humphries, 76, of Lancaster, widower of Gladys Rose Barrineau Humphries, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born April 8, 1939 in Dillon, SC, a son of the late Joseph Nicholas Humphries, Sr. and Frostie Anna Price Humphries. Mr. Humphries was a member of Elgin Baptist Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Humphries will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 2 pm at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Humphries is survived by two sons, Jon Humphries and his wife Karen and Joe Humphries and his wife Ronda all of Lancaster; two daughters, Johnsie Blythe and her husband Jackie of Lancaster and Darlene Bagwell of Rock Hill; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph N. Humphries, Jr.; and three sisters, Ollie McCollum, Betty H.
