Jerry Roger Threatt

Mr. Jerry Roger Threatt, 64, of Lancaster passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born April 30, 1951 in Lancaster, a son of the late Jessie James Threatt and Ruby Lee Ivey Threatt. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He retired from The South Carolina Department of Transportation after 19 years of service. He loved his tractor, farming, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Threatt will be held Monday, July 13, 2015 at 3 pm at the Chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home the Rev. Buddy Thomas and Rev. Jerry DeVinney officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Threatt is survived by his wife Rose Threatt; a son, Jerry “Smokey” Threatt of Lancaster; a daughter, Mary Elaine Threatt and her Fiancée Knox Bailey of Lancaster; a brother, Wayne Lee Threatt Sr. of Lancaster; two sisters, Myrtice Carter and Nellie Ruth Powers both of Lancaster; five grandchildren Brittani Bailey, Breanna Hinson, Bryan Outen, Brooklyn Threatt, and Caylee Threatt.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, 222 South Church Street, Suite 303, Charlotte, NC 28202.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr.ThreattRead Obituary
