Jerri Dawanna Coates, 38, of Lancaster passed away Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home. She was born August 24, 1978 in Lancaster, a daughter of H. Barry Coates and the late Nancy Diane Plyler Coates. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and being outdoors with her family and friends.A memorial service to celebrate the life of Dawanna will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 4:00 pm at the chapel of Lancaster Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Rommy Mullis officiating.Dawanna is survived by her father, H. Barry Coates of Lancaster; a brother, Randall Coates of Lancaster; her paternal grandparents, Annie Grace Boone and Jerry Boone; two nieces, Chloe Coates and Elissa Coates; and three nephews, Shane Coates, Tyler Coates, and Scotty CoatesThe family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving Dawanna’s family.Read Obituary
