Heath Allen Griffin

Mr. Heath Allen Griffin, 79, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his home. He was born April 23, 1936 in Monroe, NC, a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Griffin and Effie Usher Griffin. Mr. Griffin was a member of Canaan Free Will Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who loved watching his grandchildren play sports. Mr. Griffin loved to garden, he loved old cars and loved his church.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Griffin will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3 pm at Canaan Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Overstreet and Rev. Wayne Snipes officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Griffin is survived by his wife, Wilma L. Griffin of Lancaster; two sons, Allen W. Griffin and his wife Kathy of Florence and Timothy D. “Timmy” Griffin and his wife Kim of Fort Mill; a sister, Barbara Williams and her husband Freddie of Kershaw; and four grandchildren, Davis A. Griffin and his wife Kristi, Kaleb R. Griffin, Jordan Griffin and Tyler Griffin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Cuthbertson.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.Memorial contributions may be made to Canaan Free Will Baptist Church, P.O.
