Mrs. Gloria Jean Faulkenberry, 69, of Lancaster, widow of Floyd A. Faulkenberry, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017. She was born September 15, 1947 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Carrie “Nell” Robinson Banks. Mrs. Faulkenberry was a faithful wife and a loving and caring mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Grace Freewill Baptist Church followed by a service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Faulkenberry at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Roger Anders officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mrs. Faulkenberry is survived by a son, Jeff Faulkenberry of Lancaster; a daughter, Amanda Rogers and her husband Troy of Jacksonville, FL; three sisters, Marilyn Faulkenberry of Fort Mill, Carolyn Albano and her husband Albert of Massachusetts and Joann Walkup and her husband Bill of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Jonathan and Jordan Faulkenberry; and three great-grandchildren, Emily, Elliott and Jacob Faulkenberry. Jean was a very special person,loved by many. I enjoyed my weekly visits with her, I will miss her but she's not in pain anymore. Mandy and Jeff I love you and I loved your parents. I'm praying for all of you.
