George Eugene Starkweather

Mr. George Eugene Starkweather, 70, of Lancaster passed away Monday, March 13, 2017 at Novant Health Presbyterian Main. He was born June 4, 1946 in Elmira, NY, a son of the late Arthur Starkweather and Margaret Ensworth Starkweather.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Starkweather will be held Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Douglas Pate officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Starkweather is survived by a son, Richard Starkweather and his wife Sandra of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Arthur Starkweather, Jr. and his wife Dawn of Osceloa, PA, Dennie Starkweather and his wife Charlene of Richmond, VA and Michael Starkweather and his wife Sherri of Wellsboro, PA; five sisters, Carolyn Carlton and her husband Maynard of Lancaster, Sharon White and her husband John of Elmira Heights, NY, Kathy Walbridge of Antrim, PA, Rose Ramsey and her husband Robert of Wellsboro, PA, and Angela White of Richmond, VA; and five grandchildren, Mattie Watkins, Brandon Overman, Skylar Starkweather, Christopher Starkweather and Victoria Rose. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Starkweather; and a sister, Connie Schmoulder.The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Carolyn Carlton, 1411 Burke Duncan Road, Lancaster.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mr. Starkweather.Read Obituary
