George Arthur Craig

Mr. George Arthur Craig, 76, of Lancaster, husband of Mary Lucas Craig, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018 at Piedmont Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1942 in Lancaster, a son of the late James William Craig and Ruby Drye Craig. Mr. Craig was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and had retired from engineering at Springs Industries. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He loved the Carolina Gamecocks, gardening, NASCAR, and his fur baby Lee Loo.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Craig will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at the graveside at Midway Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Donald W. Tillman officiating.Mr. Craig is survived by his wife, Mary L. Craig; two sons, Art Craig and his wife Tammy of Moncks Corner and Phil Craig and his wife Vickie of Lancaster; two brothers, James W. “Billy” Craig and his wife Maggie of Kershaw and Wade Craig and his wife Sandra of Orangeburg; four sisters, Ruth Mahaffey, Judy Hinson and Jane Catoe all of Lancaster and Sadie Bozarth and her husband Sonny of New Jersey; and six grandchildren, Phillip Perry Craig, Cody James Craig, Brandon Tyler Craig and his wife Holly, Dylan Reece Craig, Wyatt William Craig and Andrew Chase Craig. In addition to his parents, Mr. Craig was preceded in death by a brother, Walter H.
