Geneva Elizabeth Harrelson Lucas

Mrs. Geneva Elizabeth Harrelson Lucas, 99, of Lancaster, widow of James Lytal Lucas, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at White Oak Manor. She was born December 29, 1917 in Augusta, GA, a daughter of the late George Washington Harrelson and Mattie Powell Harrelson. Mrs. Lucas was a member of White Springs Baptist Church. She loved to visit and sew and enjoyed walking in her neighborhood and working in her garden.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lucas will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 3 pm at White Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Donald Waldrop officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Lucas is survived by three sons, Carroll Lynn Lucas and his wife Frances and Jimmy Lucas and his wife Debbie all of Lancaster and Charles Lucas and his wife Carol of Coolville, OH; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers, William L. Harrelson, Odell Harrelson, Johnny Vaughn Harrelson and Wilson Powell; and a sister, Delores Caskey.The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Family Ministry Center of White Springs Baptist Church and other times at the home of Jim and Debbie Lucas, 1019 Hampton Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC.Memorial contributions may be made to White Springs Baptist Church, 1249 Grace Avenue, Lancaster, SC 29720.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Lucas.Read Obituary
