Fannie Ghent Proctor

Mrs. Fannie Ghent Proctor, 95, of Lancaster, widow of J.D. Proctor, passed away Thursday, April 16, 2015 at her home. She was born March 14, 1920 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Charlie Ghent, Sr. and Mary Sweatt Ghent. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister and she will be dearly missed. Mrs. Proctor was a member of Shiloh A.R.P. Church. She was also a member of the Order of The Eastern Star, Lancaster Chapter 146.A remembrance of life for Mrs. Proctor will be held Sunday, April 19, 2015 at 3 pm at Shiloh A.R.P. Church with the Rev. Tom Wilson and Rev. Wayne Dickson officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mrs. Proctor is survived by two daughters, Emmagene P. Roberts and her husband Jimmy and Geroldene P. Evans and her husband Tony all of Lancaster; a brother, Clyde Ghent of Lancaster; five grandchildren, Matt Roberts and his wife Stephanie of Lancaster, Allison Prevatte and her husband, Scott of Jacksonville, NC, Dena Evans of Matthews, NC, Josh Evans and Braeden Evans and his wife Albrey, all of Lancaster; and seven great-grandchildren, Lana, Willow and Skylar Prevatte of Jacksonville, NC, Hunter and Madyson Roberts and Bentley and Railee Evans, all of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy Ghent, John Ghent, Walter Ghent and Charlie Ghent, Jr.; and four sisters, Jessie Cameron, Myrtle Byrd, Minnie Lee Smith and Sarah Ghent.The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home of Tony and Geroldene Evans. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh A.R.P.
