Edward Jeffery "Tracy" Laney

Mr. Edward Jeffery “Tracy” Laney, 59, of Lancaster passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. He was born April 11, 1957 in Lancaster, a son of the late Jerry Asbury Laney and Janie Faulkenberry Laney. Mr. Laney was a member of New Life Freewill Baptist Church. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. Mr. Laney served our country in the U.S. Army. He loved to shoot pool, watch tv and spend time with his family. A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Laney will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 2 pm at New Life Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Douglas Pate officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Mr. Laney is survived by two sons, Jason Laney of Fairbury, NE and Jerry Laney of Durant, OK; two daughters, Angela Taylor of Fort Payne, AL and Amanda Collins and her husband Charles of Mentone, AL; four brothers, James Laney, Arnold Laney, Tim Laney and Larry Laney all of Lancaster; a sister, Debbie Sowell of Lancaster; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Laney. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016 at Lancaster Funeral Home.
