Edna Walters Cahill

Mrs. Edna Malinda Walters Cahill, 83, of Lancaster, widow of George Tyler Cahill, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born September 5, 1933 in Princeton, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Charles Winston Walters and Gladys Marie Shupe Walters. She was a member of Open Door Fellowship Church.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cahill will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Open Door Fellowship with the Rev. Dr. John T. Cahill officiating. Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Virginia.Mrs. Cahill is survived by a son, Pastor John T. Cahill and his wife Theresa of Lancaster; four brothers, Clyde Walters of Detroit, Michigan, Aubrey Walters of Roanoke, Virginia, Clarence Walters and Erie Walters both of Princeton, West Virginia; three sisters, Faye Huey of Atlanta, Ga., Dion Suesberry of Detroit, MI. and Wanda Nickatanka of Minot, ND.; two grandchildren, Anthony Tyler Cahill and Krista Lynn Poynor; and five great grandchildren, Ceana Suddeth, Tayben Cahill, Layna Cahill, Reece Poynor, and Heidi Poynor. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Charles Winston Cahill and a daughter, Karen Elizabeth Cahill.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at Open Door Fellowship.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Cahill.Read Obituary
