Donald Franklin Shook

Mr. Donald Franklin Shook, 78, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville. He was born March 26, 1939 in Spartanburg, a son of the late Rev. Carl Franklin Shook and Hazel Grimsley Shook. Mr. Shook was a loving husband, father brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of High Point Free Will Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon. He had served our state as a Wildlife Officer for thirty two years, retiring at the rank of Sargent.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Shook will be held Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 2:00 pm at High Point Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. David Sellers officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Shook is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Jenkins Shook; two sons, Franklin Todd Shook and his wife Donna of Columbia and Donald Gregory Shook of Lancaster; a daughter, Julie Shook Small of Lancaster; a sister, Patti Shook of Roebuck; five grandchildren, T. J. Shook, Bethany Small, Landon Small, Kellyn Shook and Robert Harman; and a great grandchild, Janson Small.
