David Edward Yost

Mr. David Edward Yost, 71, of Lancaster passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born September 18, 1946 in Charlotte, a son of the late Fred Yost and Frances Helms Yost. A US Navy Veteran, Mr. Yost was a member of Walkersville Presbyterian Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He loved old cars and baseball, and had played baseball with the Charlotte semi pro team, and was a little league baseball coach for many years. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Mr. Yost is survived by his wife, Sandra Adams Yost; two sons, David Anthony Yost and his wife Christine of Marshville and Christopher Gerald Yost of Waxhaw; three step sons, James Wendell Trull, Jr. and his wife Lynn, David Lee Trull all of Lancaster and John Christopher Trull and his wife Jennifer of Waxhaw; his mother, Frances H. Yost of Waxhaw; a brother, Robert Yost of Waxhaw; two sisters, Carolyn Turner and her husband Cecil of Mint Hill and Vickie Yost of Waxhaw; five grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home.
