Charles Billie Edward Gardner

Mr. Charles Billie Edward Gardner, 78, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home. He was born January 8, 1940 in Lancaster, a son of the late Virgil Boyd Gardner and Rosa Bell Balkcum Gardner. Mr. Gardner was a member of Second Baptist Church. He was an avid Clemson Tiger Fan. In addition, he loved Corvettes and enjoyed restoring them.A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gardner will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Lancaster with the Rev. Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.Mr. Gardner is survived by his wife, Geneva H. Gardner of Lancaster; two sons, Tim McAteer of Columbia and Sam McAteer and his wife Cheryl of Lancaster; two daughters, Tara Sinclair and her husband Louis and Kim McAteer all of Lancaster; one brother, Doug Gardner and his wife Judy of Myrtle Beach; four grandchildren, Breanna Harmon, Corey Sinclair, Tyler Richardson and Jason McAteer; and two great-grandchildren, Cara Harmon and Dakota Harmon.
