Carolyn Janette Edwards Melvin

Mrs. Carolyn Janette Edwards Melvin, 73, of Lancaster, widow of John F. Melvin, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born March 8, 1941 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Claude Edwards and Lillian Carter Edwards. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Melvin will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 2 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dwight Brazzell officiating. Burial will be private.Mrs. Melvin is survived by three sons, Chris Melvin and his wife Debbie of Great Falls, Phillip E. Melvin and Greg Melvin and his wife Sherry all of Lancaster; a daughter, Melissa Melvin Roach of Lancaster; two brothers, Bobby Joe Edwards of Lancaster and Eugene Edwards of Kershaw; a sister, Peggy Pilgrim of Lancaster; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
