Carol S. Sims

Mrs. Carol S. Sims, 76, of Lancaster passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at her home. She was born April 24, 1939 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Jack Wade Sims and Beulah Elizabeth Adams Sims. Mrs. Sims was a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church and had retired from the City of Lancaster. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt. She loved cooking, canning and collecting cookbooks and angel figurines. She enjoyed camping, watching little league and high school baseball and traveling.A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sims will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 3:00 pm at Fork Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Kenny Pittman, Rev. Steve Neal and Pastor William B. Sumner officiating. Burial will be in the Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.Mrs. Sims is survived by her husband of 54 years, James F. Sims; a son Michael K. Sims of Heath Springs; two brothers, Randall Scott Sims and his wife Ann of Heath Springs and Robert Wade Sims and his wife Judy of Kershaw; two sisters, Cindy Catoe and her husband Ronnie of Kershaw and Linda Bowers of Heath Springs; and a number of nieces and nephews.The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2015 at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2290 Flat Creek Road, Lancaster.Memorial contributions may be made to Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Road, Heath Springs, SC 29058.Lancaster Funeral Home & Cremation Service is serving the family of Mrs. Sims.Read Obituary
